The Nelson Leafs are proud to announce the signing of 2004 born forward Connor Hanna to the
roster for the 2022/2023 season.
Hanna, from Calgary, AB, will join the Leafs after spending last season with the International
Hockey Academy (IHA) U18 Prep team. The IHA play in the CSSHL U18 Prep league. Hanna
tallied 5 points in the regular season and 2 points in 3 playoff games. The big winger stands at
6’3” and weighs in at 175 pounds.
“Connor is a big kid who is very coachable and can really skate. He has an offensive touch the
Leafs will hope to help develop moving forward,” says his coach last year at IHA Jason
Abramoff, “With Hanna’s size and skating ability he will be very hard for the opposition to play
against game in and game out.
The Leafs are excited to welcome Connor and his family to the Leafs Organization for the next
season and we look forward to seeing him in our beautiful green jerseys.
