Leafs looking for Davidson, Mint and the rest of the core players to ground Nighthawks in back-to-back away games

The Nelson Leafs are back in action this weekend with a couple of back to back away games
against divisional rivals Beaver Valley.

The Leafs will be in the Hawks nest Friday and Saturday.

“They’re coming off two losses last weekend, so we expect they’ll be pushing back,” says Leafs
Assistant Coach Adam DiBella. “Everybody gets up to play us.”

Nelson is coming off an explosive 8-0 win over the rough and tumble winless Border Bruins
earlier this week in Grand Forks.

The Leafs core players have been at the forefront of the teams surge to the top of the Neil
Murdoch division.

“Teams are learning that if they try to push us around, we’ll score on the power play, and not
look back,” says DiBella who adds that the club will be looking for core players to continue to
lead the way, including Joe Davidson, Bennett Anklewich, d-man Tyson Lautard and goalie
Tenzin Mint.

Mint has been solid in net having to fill in full time for fellow net minder Dylan Marshall, who has
been day to day with an injury, but will returning to the line up this weekend.

The Leafs are back in action, at home next week, with games against the Kimberely Dynamiters
Friday and Castlegar Saturday.
