The Nelson Leafs are proud to announce the signing of 2004 born forward Drake Proctor to the
roster for the 2022/2023 season.
Proctor, from Nelson, BC, will join the Leafs after spending last season with the Okanagan
Rockets U18 AAA. Proctor tallied 14 points, 6 of them goals, in 36 games with the Rockets. As
an A.P. (Additional Player) for the Leafs last season Proctor played in 10 games, 9 of those
coming in the Kootenay Conference Final and the Teck Cup Final. Proctor scored a key
insurance goal in Game 4 of the Kootenay Conference Finals securing a 2-0 win.
“Drake is big, fast, and skilled,” Says Head Coach Adam DiBella, “He really showed his potential
with us last season. Drake was a key recruit for us and we are really excited to see him continue
to develop throughout this season.”
The Leafs are excited to have Drake and his family be a part of the Leafs Organization for this
season.
