The Nelson Leafs are proud to announce the signing of 2004 born forward Owen McFarlane to
the roster for the 2022/2023 season.
McFarlane, from Okotoks, AB, joins the Leafs after completing his U18 career with the Okotoks
Oilers U18AAA. McFarlane finished the regular season compiling 2 goals, 3 assists in 37 games.
The centerman also played 1 game as an affiliate with the High River Flyers of the HJHL last
season.
“Owen is a dynamic skater who has an amazing work ethic both on and off the ice,“ Says
General Manager Lance Morey, “He is highly skilled and it will be fun watching him develop this
season.”
The Leafs are excited to welcome Owen and his family to the Leafs organization for the next
season and we look forward to seeing him in our colours.
